This arrived via Amazon Prime one day earlier than promised and I am very happy with it after my first ride this morning. Just right for a mid to upper 40 F ride as the sun was rising. The screaming yellow and black is very visible and the Large size fits me perfectly, I am 6'1" 200lbs, 42 inch chest and 36 inch waist. While the sleeves are a tad long compared to a typical shirt, they cover my wrists and leave zero gap exposed at the glove, just the right amount of overlap. Pockets in the back include one sweat proof pocket inside the one on the right side and they held my power bars for this first right very nicely. The back has reflective trim on the edge of the pockets and the length is perfect if you use regular cycling shorts (I use PI Elite also large size). The zipper works very smoothly, has a wind flap, and a nice unobtrusive cover at the top to ensure it doesn't rub the neck area while riding. Using this with a base layer should make for a comfortable ride into the 30's I would guess. You can feel the wind through this, but this wasn't a problem for me, it still kept me very comfortable while warming up and didn't cause me to overheat when riding very hard. I would definitely recommend this for cooler weather riding.Fit: I am 6'5" with a 34" waist; 45" chest; 36" inseam; 228 pounds. My dress shirts usually have 36/37" sleeves. The XL Jersey fit pretty good. There's just enough room to put a lightweight base layer underneath...maybe midweight. But definitely not loose fitting. The sleeves were just long enough to get to my wrist and just long enough in the torso (happy for a tall rider).Performance: I wore this jersey at 38º F, two hours before sunset, with an 8 mph wind. I wore a lightweight base layer underneath. They did just what I hoped. Initially, a little chilly. But within 5-10 minutes of riding, I felt pretty good. I didn't get too warm, so perspiration was never a problem. Only blocks some wind, so if you're looking for wind-proof, check out the Elite line.Quality: Same high quality that I'm used to seeing with Pearl Izumi. The jersey is well-constructed and comfortable.Recommend: I think this jersey will perform well 45-60º by itself, and 35-45º with a base layer depending on your makeup and tolerance.I also purchased the Pearl Izumi Select Thermal tights and shoe covers and offer different reviews and observations for those.I received this jersey in early January and have worn it twice while hiking. As a mid layer, it works amazingly well. I placed a long sleeve poly t-shirt under this jersey and a shell over the top. I spent two full days snowshoeing in the mountains of Northern Colorado and never felt the sub-zero temperatures. It also breaths very well. I never felt damp, but did notice the moisture had passed through my t-shirt and this layer and onto the inside of my wind-proof shell. I am a biker, but actually purchased the black version for hiking. I will purchase a second one of these jerseys (in the screaming yellow color) for spring and late fall biking. The rear tri-pockets are great for both activities.I am 6'3" and 230lbs and fairly fit. I purchased the XXL which fits me more loosely than most Pearl Izumi items, but is perfect for me and my body shape. I don't really like tight fitting clothes. This hugs my body but does not squeeze! Pearl Izumi is ALWAYS excellent gear! I rarely buy anything else for hiking and biking.I must say that this overlapped in my woardrobe with a long sleeved wool bike jersey. It fit me skin tight. I bought a medium. I am 6', 160-165lbs. Thin, but not skinny. I would have preferred a little extra room in case I wanted to use this as a layer over a base or as a layer over a base and another jersey. So, large would have probably met my size needs more. Also, I decided that this thing was just too screaming yellow for me. I guess that I would have preferred a screaming green, if there is such a thing. I returned it.However, if you need a warm, fully zippered base, or thermal jersey, this fits the bill. Probably at half the cost of the wool. I just can't comment on how it feels after using it, or how it wears since I never did take it on a ride.I'm 5'10", and 155 lbs, slim build, and medium fits me just right. My arms are longer than average, and most long-sleeve clothing items in medium tend to be 1 - 2" too short in arm length, this jersey however fits perfectly, allowing my arms and wrists to remain well covered even when they are fully extended on my road bike. The jersey is pretty warm for its thickness and weight. In the 30's I am comfortable wearing this as a middle-layer with a full-length bib pants, a Craft long-sleeve thin thermal as a base, this jersey in the middle, and a Pearl Izumi Barrier Web Jacket as an outer. This setup breathes fairly well, and again keeps me pretty warm on 2-hour rides in the down into the 30's. (I'm an east-coaster, where it's typically pretty raw and moist in the 30's... in drier/higher environments, this jersey might work well in the 30's with just a warm base beneath it.) The jersey is also cut longer in the back, to provide coverage while extended on a road bike.I had these delivered all the way from England. I am not sure why these weren't available in the states at the time of my order. Well worth the wait.I purchased these as well as the corresponding tights and they are VERY warm. Perhaps I was overly concerned about winter cycling ( first season here ) and so many of my fellow southerners had complained about the cold. These are overkill for most of the rides I've done this winter. I've had these on for 60 degree - 20 degree rides. These are ABSOLUTELY overkill for >50 Degree rides ( I've now switched to standard club Jersey with PI Elite arm warmers ), but really shine in 40 Degree and bellow temps. Nice comfortable 'fleece' does a great job of both shielding from the wind as well as retaining heat.I've worn this a lone under layer on a 20 degree ride with a Top layer and was completely toasty !-Brucearms are long, but if you actually understood that they are designed to cover the gloves during cold weather it can not be considered a negative issue. 5 stars from me, worn it 3-4 times a week for 6 weeks now and washes great and holds it colourTop quality cycing jersey, nice colour, really comfortable and warm and fits superb (I'm 6ft 3 and 200lbs). The rear of the jersey is a nice length and covers the lower back area really well. Great for chilly rides with a layer underneath. Love it!Pearl Izumi is the absolute best quality when it comes to cycling apparel and is great value for money. This latest jersey was replacing a similar Pearl Izumi jersey I bought over 10 year ago.jersey is a good fit 40" chest just right for largecomfortable and warm weather was about 15 degrees with base layer ,not used in colder weather yetGood: adequate size; keeps the body warm with a sweater underwear (good for temperatures around 10º celsius).Bad: the color in the picture is different from the actual color. I thought the orange was the same of KTM bikes but is not. The orange is very yellowish; not good fit.
