I'm 66 years old and been riding street bikes since I was 16. I've owned at lease a dozen M/C jackets over the years, most of which are the "police style" which were purchased from leather shops in SF. I've always hung out w/other bikers (especially on weekends) most of my adult life.Trust me, I KNOW leather police style M/C jackets. This is w/o doubt the softest leather M/C jacket that I've ever seen or owned. Like another reviewer says, all the details are there, all seems are well sewn with nice deep pockets (I+O), whoever made this jacket paid a lot of attention to detail. That said, I'm not sure what to do w/this jacket. Keep it or send it back? I could keep it as a "dress" jacket, but would I ever really use it much? I'm not sure...Now as I would review any other normal riding jacket: This is a very light weight jacket; when it arrived, I didn't know what it was while carrying the package in. Obviously it was clothing, maybe a shirt, but couldn't be the jacket I ordered. BUT IT WAS! I certainly can't keep it w/my other leathers hanging in the garage next to the M/C's. It just doesn't fit in there. Maybe in the bedroom closet next to my PJs? I don't really hang those up (or even own any PJ's), but you get the idea.Besides being very light weight, the sleeve openings are a bit wide, so there's going to be plenty of airflow going up them w/o gauntlet gloves. This jacket would certainly benefit from tapered sleeve zippers w/o doubt. My favorite riding jackets have the longer "tails" which help prevent drafts flowing up your back at speed & leaning forward (although this "feature" seems to be harder to find on jackets these days). If this were a heavier jacket, these missing features would be more important. This maybe the perfect jacket to put away for use in my casket, I sure wouldn't mind being buried in this jacket along w/my favorite leather shirt, pants and boots.I really wanted a more rugged M/C jacket. So maybe I should send it back, but I'm more likely to just keep it, it's so nice.
